Karen Lee Tatum Arasimowicz, 66, departed this life on March 1, 2016 at the MidState Medical Center. She was a loving wife and mother and was greatly adored by many people.

Karen was born in New Britain on June 4, 1949, the daughter of the late Hayward and Betty Ann (Roth) Tatum. She had worked as a media tech at Chapman Elementary School for the Cheshire Board of Education. She also worked as an office manager at CATS Gymnastics of Cheshire.

In addition to her loving husband Donald Arasimowicz Sr., she leaves behind her children: Donald Arasimowicz Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Bristol and Kortney Balsamo and her husband Joe of Meriden and a sister, Cynthia Kearney of East Hartford, and nine beloved grandchildren, Nathaniel, Brandon, Tori, Lili, Donald III, Raine, Tatum, Sam and Brennan.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 4 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. There will be no calling hours.  There will be a celebration of Karen's life immediately following at First Church of Middletown at 190 Court Street.  .
